About Us

The Blue Water Pregnancy Care Center is a non-profit, nonpolitical organization that is committed to providing compassion, information and support to anyone facing the challenge of unplanned pregnancy.

Our center has been open in Port Huron since 1986, serving over 3,000 women and families in the area for more than 21 years. We are staffed mostly by volunteers who care about your feelings and the problems you are facing. We are here to listen and help you face your challenges with confidence and hope. We are committed to providing you with accurate information about pregnancy, fetal development, abortion procedures and risks, lifestyle issues, and any related concerns. Our goal is to help you make an informed decision about your situation and your future.

All information is kept confidential. We are here for you.

Our Commitment to Care

• We do not offer, recommend or refer for abortions or abortifacients, but we are committed to offering accurate information about abortion procedures and risks.
• All of our advertising and communications are truthful and honest and accurately describe the services we offer.
• All of our staff and volunteers receive proper training to uphold these standards.

Our Services

Our center can offer you the following services:

• Free laboratory quality pregnancy tests
• Information on pregnancy, abortion and alternatives
• Information on RU486 and the morning after pill
• Friendship and emotional support
• Discussion of healthy sexual choices
• Referrals to community resources and agencies
• Maternity clothes, needed baby items and furniture provided through participation in our Earn While You Learn program
• Assistance in obtaining pre-natal care
• Guidance in parenting skills
• Ongoing peer counseling
• Post-abortion care and education
